This series contains the gubernatorial appointment records of state and county officials. The Governor appoints members of state commissions, advisory boards, boards of local public services, and justices of the peace. The records include correspondence, newspaper clippings, memoranda, and a copy of the appointment record. The collection covers the years 1929 through 1966; there are, however, no records for the year 1936.
